Downtown Visitor Trends – June 2025
Downtown Asheville stayed lively throughout June, with weekends once again bringing the biggest crowds. The afternoon hours — especially from noon to 4 p.m. — continued to see the most foot traffic, lining up with when shops, restaurants, and activities are in full swing.
Total visitation was slightly lower than in June 2024, but the gap between this year and last is narrowing — a hopeful sign as the city continues to recover from the lasting effects of Hurricane Helene.
Regional visitors remain a steady presence, showing that downtown continues to be a draw for folks from nearby communities, especially as summer kicks into gear.
As always, we’ll keep an eye on these trends to help shape programming, support local businesses, and keep downtown moving in the right direction.
